Stumped by How to Best Serve Students With At-Home Learning? Follow the Evidence (4/20/20)Research across over 100 studies (that meet certain quality criteria) suggest if you're doing virtual learning, computer-assisted learning programs (Zearn is an example I like that comes to mind - don't think this was included in any of the studies, but as an example) may be the most effective. These generally involve programs of study with presentation of info and interactive content (e.g., quizzes, practice, etc.). But, teachers still need to monitor and engage in order for them to be effective, and, not all students have access (so spending on tech devices and infrastructure is necessary). For students without tech access, research suggests goal setting with reminders (could be text-based, for example), is effective. An example goal could be an amount of reading.
