Social and Emotional Learning Skills Strategy Packet

How is this strategy implemented?

Social stories are used to help teach expected behaviors in specific situations. They include a description of the context, what to expect in that context, and why. For example, a social story might describe the expected behaviors in the cafeteria. First, the social story would describe how the cafeteria looks and sounds. Next it would explain what all of the students are doing, and why. It would close with a summary of expected behaviors in the cafeteria.
